Menstruation

For parents of young women with Intellectual Disability

Come along to this seminar and hear a presentation by three health professionals about menstruation in women with intellectual disabilities. Topics covered include:

  • Modern medical approach to reproductive health for women with intellectual disabilities
  • Menstruation management and personal hygiene
  • Possible long term menstruation management via pharmaceuticals
  • Contraception and menstruation management

This seminar is aimed at young adults with intellectual disabilities and parents of women with intellectual disabilities.

We do not charge parents to attend our seminars, however we charge professionals $50 each per seminar. This can be paid by cash, cheque (made out to our full organisation name Parent and Family Resource Centre Inc.) or direct debit. We do not accept credit card or Eftpos payments. We are happy to send an invoice at the time of booking. Payment is required prior to attendance.

There will be a resource table with relevant print material available. Tea, coffee and biscuits available from 5.30pm.
