Understanding Autism seminars – March 2015

These Children’s Autism Foundation workshops are designed to support parents and professionals with practical and easy to understand information on autism. There are two options, full daytime seminars or shorter 2.5hr evening seminars. Click here to view the flier.

Wednesday 18th March – Foundation of K Trust, Highbrook

Thursday 19th March – 111 Great South Rd, Greenlane

Friday 20th March – Wilson Centre, 1 St Leonard’s Rd, Takapuna

This is an event designed for students, their families, support people and teachers to come and find out about our programmes which cater to students who have special learning needs. Support Group for families supporting a loved one with a mental illness – North Shore

Music and Fun Play Group – Central Auckland

This play group is for children between the ages of 0-5 with special needs and their parents/caregivers. The group is held every Wednesday from 9:30-11am in the school term at the Courtyard Room, Community of St Luke, 130 Remuera Road, Newmarket. This is a fantastic opportunity for parents of children with special needs to get together once a month from 9:30am-12pm at Papatoetoe Adolescent Christian Trust, 311 Great South Road. The Sport Gulf Harbour Charitable Trust and The Leisure Centre are hosting a Special Needs Sports Programme designed specifically for interaction and connection with children with Special Needs. Open Studio Teen Group and Art on the Spectrum – Central

Teen Open Studio is an open studio art group for teenagers of all abilities aged 12 (approx) years plus.  Particular provision is made for teens with diverse and complex needs. Thursdays from 4–5:30pm each school term. Click here to view the flier.

Art on the Spectrum is a structured arts therapy group for six children (8-11 years) on the Autism Spectrum (ASD) facilitated by an Arts Therapist and Arts Facilitator. Wednesdays 4–5:30pm each school term.  Click here to view the flier.

Child’s Play O.T. Ltd

Occupational Therapy and Sensory Integration Therapy practice – now in Eden Terrance AND Silverdale! We offer assessment, consultation and therapy input for children and adolescents and their family/whanau.
