Parents’ Social Group – Otahuhu

August 2020 – This month we have Therapeutic Drumming

Wednesday 12 August (5.30pm – 8pm)
Mt Richmond School, 30 Albion Road, Otahuhu, Auckland

Free event with light supper included – All are Welcome!

Drumming allows you to flow with the rhythm by simply feeling the beat. Research shows that the physical transmission of rhythmic energy to the brain generates new neuronal connections synchronising all parts of the brain. The more connections within the brain, the more integrated our experiences become. For these reasons therapeutic drumming may be a powerful tool in helping retrain the brains of people who have some level of damage or impairment such as those with Autism, ADD etc.

Have you ever tried drumming? Come and share this fun, interactive experiences with Chewy Wilson, an experienced musician and drummer who has been supporting people with disabilities for many years. He is the Owner-operator at Rhythm for the Soul and Operations Manager at PHAB NZ.

Please register early as places are limited. Email admin@disabilityconnect.org.nz or asoka@disabilityconnect.org.nz
