Emergency Preparedness Workshop – 1.5-hour Emergency Preparedness Workshop helps adults with learning disabilities build the knowledge and confidence to prepare for emergencies such as floods, storms, heatwaves, and power outages. Using Easy Read resources and interactive activities, participants create their own personalised emergency plan. Participants will learn how to identify local risks, prepare an emergency kit, decide who to contact and where to go during an emergency, and share their plan with whānau and support people. The workshop focuses on practical skills that increase safety, independence, and community resilience. Date 14th October, Time: 11am-12.30pm, Location: Onehunga Community Centre, 83 Church Street, Onehunga.
